Technology and Sovereignty

A key element for the political sovereignty of a modern State is to be in a position to deploy on its own an independent fleet of advanced aircraft which means :

• Owning a fleet of high-performing combat aircraft,
• Benefiting of extensive technological knowledge to continuously improve the Aircraft,

RAFALE for India (as well as in a future Indian Navy combat aircraft program) is therefore double:

• on the one hand, to offer Indian Forces an up-to-date entirely multirole combat aircraft at level with India’s political and military importance during the first half of the century.
• on the other hand, to provide Indian Industry with a comprehensive set of technologies and partnerships with a view to developing wide-ranging cooperation.
